Special Requirements

The person in this position must obtain a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker's endorsement or is required to attain  within six weeks of employment.   A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.  At least one year of experience  in plumbing or a related field is required.




Physical Demands


Physical work involved with this position includes, but is not limited to, lifting, climbing, and bending and standing.


Work Environment


The Water/Wastewater Technician I works regular hours year-round with occasional overtime and night work when the workload demands it.  There is no shift work for this position. The person in this position is always on call. 100% of the work for this position is outdoors and requires work done in all types of weather conditions.  The position has accountability for safety and legal issues related to work for which this position is responsible. There is exposure to chemicals and/or hazardous materials on a daily basis.  This exposure includes, but is not limited to, sewer gases.
